I haven't blogged in such a long time i can't even remember when was the last time i actually did. I guess its been quite an eventful time, i somehow survived parent-teacher meeting. Season's just around the corner, july to be exact. I just can't believe time passes so quickly, in december we started serious training and we slumped around the period of february-march cos our mindset went oh there's so much time left to train. But i guess all that has changed, its just 2 months left to go. I confess i had my doubts at the beginning, with teams like jurong and CHS still remaining then-unbeatable teams for us because of last year's nightmare. Lets be honest now, i've no such doubts any longer. I think i've trained with this 15 for exactly half a year now, and to see us develop into such a family over the past six months has really boosted my confidence in this team. Ups and downs we had them all i guess, but through this six months we stuck together (although we all fall sick once in a while) and really, there's nothing that can take us down for the next 3 and a half months. June we've our camp, T-Net tournament, all of that constitutes the final run-up to our zonals and then the nationals. School's been kinda stressful too even RE's a chore now. I just can't stand 6 hours sitting in the stupid classroom listening to lessons. Its.. emotionally draining i suppose. Worst of all's chinese i swear. Everything's just so tiring i don't believe this 4-day break is any break at all. But we'll see, exam week we cut down training by more than half. The final goal's this: over the past 3 years RI basketball's achieved top 8, 3rd and runners-up at the national level, so i think its time for gold to return to the honour rolls for the first time since 2001. Anyway we've basically become total strangers now. I don't know the new you, i miss the old one.

CARTER GOES AIRBORNE FOR A JAM ; HE FINISHES WITH DYNAMITE
ALL-STAR 2007 - Las Vegas

I thought the guys who put ona show today was Carmelo and Stoudamire from the West, combining for 49 in total, Seriously, Amare is supposed to have lost his explosiveness and Carmelo is an injury replacement. How's a combined 49 points possible? Forgive me for a tinge of biasness here, but i think LeBron was a ball-hog again. I suppose he was trying to put on another stellar MVP performance reminiscent of last year's All-star in Houston. Vince had a couple highflyers, LeBron did his thing and Shaq was the clown doing his dribble stuff. For the West, it was all Kobe with help from more dunks from Melo, Marion and Stoudamire. Till next year's ALLSTAR THEN!
